The introduction of SB-326 and SB-721 marks a significant legal requirement. Existing HOAs are obligated to conduct initial inspections by January 1st, 2025, followed by subsequent inspections every nine years. New HOAs, for which building permit applications were submitted after January 1, 2020, must complete inspections within six years of receiving the certificate of occupancy and subsequently every nine years.
